Can anyone suggest a basic logging software package? I just want to note the basic QSO details, including name and remarks. I don't need contest info or scoring, propagation, dx info, etc. If its easy to use, but advanced features can be ignored for the time, I would try it. I have tried various free downloads, but they have lots of stuff that complicate the situation. Or should I devise my own database?
But there must be a simple application out there!
Thanks,
Adrian

N3FJP is very easy to use.  It's pretty much intuitive for basic QSOs but has advanced features if you should want them later.  You can download it and try it out at www.n3fjp.com

I also wanted a nice, basic logging program.  After reading the reviews on this website I downloaded XMLog.  It is basic, does the job and simple to pick up and run with.  I have been using it for about 1 year and have had no problems with it at all.  Give it a try, it is free and you have nothing to lose.  I think you will like it.

You are welcome to try RYLogit.

Free download at http://rylogit.w0ry.net/

Not required to download the database.  Simple general purpose logging if desired.

Whatever you pick, just be sure it can import and export ADIF files.  That way should you want to change logging software, it's pretty easy to do.

Thanks for those tips fellas.....I'm in the try-out stage now!
I needed a logger which kept track of names, locations, plus could handle my half-hour time zone.
Your inputs are much appreciated, including the ADIF tip too.
Tnx,
Adrian
