Confused said "Dam. Even more new stuff to learn about. I've never heard of a profit toy? How does one define a profit toy? What other companies are profit toys?"

Proffit toys are investments made by several large investors with a significant amount of disposable cash. The "Toy" is just that. Something to play with and experment with. Differing advertising schemes, marketing plans etc. It works as a model for the devolopment of larger investments.

I figured any ham would have known this. All being engineers, doctors, attorneys etc.

And for R/S being out of business in a year... People, especially hams, have been saysing this since the late 70's

What larger investment could be based upon Radio Shack?

I've always assumed they are rather unique now, very small stores.

The smaller the item on the shelf the higher the markup.  Monster cable stuff is the biggest rip off.  Google Monster Cable ripoff and see what you get, it gets pretty ugly.  Monster loves to lawyer up against anyone who writes a poor review against its products.

I see someone has learned to copy and paste. It's amazing what people will try and pass off as original.

Cash hoard?! Massive share buy back?! Strategic acquisition?! Those indicate a company on the verge of collapse?

If investors buy it they might have to pay more than current stock prices?! How is that an indication of a company on the verge of collapse?

Straighten us out here with your facts OM.  Why does cash hoard and high gross margin indicate collapse?

Thanks
