Hi all,

Anyone had any experience with the APC Smart-UPS 700? I'm planning on running my station from it (PC and Diamond GSV3000 PSU/IC-756PROIII @ 100W max.) and just looking for any advice from users with experience.

Note that the Smart-UPS 700 is rated for 700VA but only 450W (real power). Your radio and power supply probably take about 300W given the power supply efficiency. With other UPS units I've had problems with a linear power supply, even at low current, due to the serious power factor charging the large capacitors. I found switching type power supplies to work a lot better. I'm not sure which type the GSV3000 is.

Noted your comments, thanks! Looks like a suck it and see situation. The GSV3000 is a quality linear PSU. I'll feedback any issues if necessary.
