Is there a way I can hook my 2 meter base to my computer and my ht to my laptop to share the internet connection between the pc and the laptop?

If both computers are running Linux, this is relatively straightforward, since Linux has the AX.25 protocol built-in. I don't know about other operating systems. Keep in mind that your Internet connection would be limited to 9600 bps, and if I understand the regulations correctly, you wouldn't be allowed to engage in any commercial activity (such as checking your company email), or use any encryption (including sites such as Yahoo mail that encrypt your user name and password).

hi jesse,

are you using dsl, cable or dial up for your internet ?

very easy to add a home network and get faster speed and not have to use the radio.

I was planning on making it publicly accessible to any amateur wishing to access the internet with a few filters of course
