As some you have noticed we have made some changes.  Some users have not seen the new forum software until today.  We have been testing this software for months and have made several announcements about that testing.  The bigger changes for us at eham today is that the site is running on new web server hardware and software.  The switch has gone fairly smoothly but we are finding a few things that are not quite right here and there.  If you see something please post in this thread or email me.

geoiii@eham.net

I am seeing on case where I can not log into the forums pages but I can log into the main site. This is a bug and now that I can make it happen for me we shuld be able to fix it soon.
You should only need to log in once to the site not again for the forums.

Thanks

I've noticed that I have to log in each time I come to the site.  I was wondering why there were no new forum posts upon my second visit and it was because I was not logged in.  That's new behavior I have not seen before...ie. having to actually log in each visit.
Otherwise, I think it will help me zero in on new posts in a much easier way.  Thanks for all the work on it.

It posts, but I get this:

Database error: cannot use database
MySQL Error: 1046 (No database selected)
Session halted.

I just had this problem. It was solved by logging out and in again with my callsign in uppercase. For the rest of the site it doesn't seem to matter, but the forum only works for me after logging in with DJ1YFK instead of dj1yfk.

Oddly enough, "DJ1YFK" also showed as being online on the bottom of the forum even when logging in as dj1yfk and not being able to post here.

Ahhh... thanks - we will fix this - thanks for figuring that out.  It was not clear
what was causing this issue.

Thanks

Yes - I am also seeing this - I think I know where this is happening.

Thanks

I've gotten the same thing--but my post went up.

Also, If you click on the Elmers Forum link on the Elmer section title bar, the link brings you to the forum menu, not the Elmer's forum.

All in all, though, a big improvement.  Thanks.

This was just fixed.

Glad the forum got moved over to the regular eHam site.  No more issues with my employer's nanny software blocking the forum section.  Thanks for the improvements.  Haven't been having problems here at work or at home with the new format.

Qell, I was still logged in when i hit the sit ethis AM, but when I clicked on "Forums" down the left side I was suddenly logged out and had to log in again.  It doesn't matter whether I was logged in uppercase or lowercase.  If this can be fixed great, if not, it's a small niggle.

Nope, just tried again.  I was logged in but when I went to forums it said I wasn't.  I logged in again to get here.
