Help with website PLEASE

Hi all,
      I put a website on line about a month ago and
adding to it all the time. It is SSTV based in the main and would like to know about adding things like weather station and webcam.

A few comments on the site...

Good, high quality information and links.

A little retro in appearance. I'm more into a slightly more minimal aesthetic... not a criticism of you, more a personal preference. Have a look at my site for an idea of what I mean... http://gerryk.com/

Instead of a guestbook, a blog might give a more 'give and take' sort of dynamic to the site... i.e. you post an article or story and people reply to it rather than just one-way messages.

All in all, good stuff though...

If I can help with the weather station or webcam, let me know. Webcam streaming is pretty straightforward these days, especially if you use windows, as MS provide all the tools. You might be better off using something a little more multi-platform in the long run, but to get started, it's fine.

When I had a 900 MHz SSTV beacon up and running last year, I used my webcam/weathercam as the video feed.  It was just pointed up as the northern sky at 1 frame/minute.  For that I used ColorPix software.

I used the same camera simultaneously on a website created with Active WebCam software...

They also offer a free dynamic IP forwarding service when creating a website with their software.

Hi and thanks for your offer of help with my site,

Would you know what weather station gear I would need
to add to my site?
Walters & Stanton are doing a cheap WX station that
can connect to the computer. But when I have looked
at WX software for websites I can't fint this one listed "W-8681"

Paul,

I see you're running that site on Red Hat (Apache 2) - it appears to be your own server? If so, that'll make things fairly easy. I use a LaCross WS-2310 type weather station (just this side of a toy) and the Open2300 PHP based software for my site (nice stuff!). You can see it here: http://kc7zru.net/2300

Eh, mine ain't the greatest - seems I'm the one uses it the most - typical for many of our 'amateur' weather sites. But, it works for me.
