how can I burn quicktime movie files to DVD?

Hi there!
I apologize if this question doesn't relate to amateur radio.  But there are so many fellow hams that are amazingly savvy with computers, that i wanted to give it a shot.

I have some instructional  videos that are in "quicktime format".  My basic nero burning software indicates that it is unable to handle the quicktime .mov file.   It may be proprietary thing, or a codec thing?  Can anyone give me some insight as to how to burn these files to dvd so that i may watch them on a DVD player rather than being forced to watch them on my computer screen?

I use a program called  "ConvertXtoDVD"

It recognizes most of the video formats and will easily convert and burn them to DVD format. There is a freeware version that leaves a watermark in the finished product. I liked it so much I purchased the program. I have lots of old videos of my kids in VHS-C format I am converting.
