Please be advised and forewarned, purchase nothing from David Roberts W8DSR (his current call) WD8RYH (his former call). He is a dishonest shyster who runs ads on QTH.com. Why does he use (2) different call letters? I suspect it is to deceive buyers. He currently has items advertised for sale on QTH.com. Check his QTH.com feedback. It is not very encouraging. I purchased a Jennings ceramic vacuum variable capacitor from him in mid May 2010. When received it was damaged and worthless. The packaging was not damaged so it obviously had been in a damaged condition when packaged for shipping. Mr. Roberts stated he hadn't noticed damage when packaging the item though it was very apparent. He advised to send the capacitor back for a refund which I did. He now has the capacitor and my money and 2 1/2 mos. later I still haven't received a refund. I have managed to contact him once  by phone and he stated he "would not beat me out of my money". He has a whole list of excuses ie: computer blew up, waiting for a new Apple computer, has to get his emails on his Blackberry, he has been in the hospital. Currently he will not even answer phone calls. This guy is a very bad apple in our hobby. Avoid him like the plague. W0NTS

I also appear to have been taken by Mr. Roberts. I responded to an add on QTH.com for a pair of 4CX800 tubes.

I received photos, a phone call and directions to mail payment to his QRZ address.

Needless to say I am out 325.00 for now.

I paid by postal money order and he signed the delivery confirmation.

I have given him one week to return my money.

It appears he is who and where he says. I have to wonder if he really thinks no one will do anything.

Anyway, my email is carlb@hpmhi.com if anyone wants to discuss this.

Aloha and 73
