I'm trying to sell a Northeast Electronics TTS-44R Transmission Tester for a SK (Patricia Gibbons WA6UBE) sale. This appears to be some kind of test equipment, since she did radio research & bench work. I suspect it works, but I don't know what kind of market it has. I do see some repair places will calibrate it.

Anyone out there know more about this? I don't want to ebay(evilbay?) it unless no one wants it in the ham community.

Not familiar with this unit.  I did note that Surplus Sales of Nebraska can provide an operating and maintenance manual for "only" $75.  Roll Eyes

That's almost as bad as the Sencore TR 110 Transistor tester that's also available in this SK sale. No instructions included. Someone's selling them online, for $22 for the original, & "just" $16 for a 15 page photocopy.  Angry  The 2 C cell batteries in it were dead, so I replaced them, put in a good 2N2222A, and set the knobs per the very limited instructions by the knobs. The reading was low, and kept dropping.

So, is the setup wrong, or did the 2N2222A die, or is the tester dying?   Undecided
