John, I went to crimp connectors about a year ago. You best source is

). Our amateur radio
club bought in bulk (RG-8X & RG-8 connectors) at a substancial savings.
According to an 'old, bold' comm tech, most of the contracts he worked
on required crimp connectors. He discovered they typically swept up to
2GHz. Crimp connectors also have better grip on the cable and don't twist.
You would also do well to follow installation with heat-shrink tubing on
