A little while I found a website that allowed you to create online grid sqaure maps in various scales centered on a location you specified. You could then create files to allow you to print the maps. You could even offset your location on the map to bias it in certain directions

This was a really good website, but I failed to book mark it!, it allowed you to tailor the maps with ease and covered Europe.

I am now unable to find this website any suggestions as I am trying to create a map for a VHF portable contest location.

I managed to find what I was looking for after a lot more searching.

This site has a online application that allows you to produce custom QRA locator maps. Have a look I thnk it is a great little application.

You might want to try DX Atlas. I just read about it here on eHam, downloaded it, and tried it, and WOW! You use your mouse to mouse-over various grid squares on the included map, and it tells you the beam heading and distance from grid square A to grid square B. You program in your lat-long and it puts a pin on the map at your location. -KR4WM
