Shackbox : THE toolbox for hamradio operator

hi folks,
i am pleased to announce, after lots of debuging, that the final and stable version of shackbox is available for download,and of course for free.
Shackbox is a live dvd with more that 200 software for hamradio operators,goin from pcb drawing to antenna simulation and of course rig control.
support all the numeric modes, it also offer,finally all the good ham appz for mac user (itel chipset)

I can't wait to try this out.  I'm happy to see more Linux ham applications out there.  Thanks for all of your hard work.  Since I have not used it yet, can you tell me what distribution it is based off of and if it is installable to a hard drive?

i used the last ubuntu version Linux rigbox 2.6.27-11-generic , and of course you can install it permanently on your hard drive (utility in systeme/ administration / install )
try the live dvd first to see if there are no hardware troubles before permanent install
glad to see that it please some ppl.

If anyone is having trouble downloading Shackbox or maybe prefers to get this Linux distro by way of a torrent tracker then here is the link;

If you still have a problem downloading, you may also navigate to www.linuxtracker.org and just search for Shackbox under the Ubuntu category. Shackbox is built upon an Ubuntu distribution.
I will be "seeding" (making available) the file for a week or two, longer if I see a lot of interest.
Never used a torrent tracker? Just Google it. Lots of info out there.
