I know that its not entirely necessary to spend a lot of money on a Heil Proset & that a relatively reasonable audio can be achieved using a 'comfortable' pc headset. This has been well documented by Martin G8JNJ.

However, is there a way to take the audio from a pc headset put it through some equalization software to boost/tailor the audio using the pc soundcard & *then* output it to the rig?

Your thoughts/comments are most welcome...
