Ever since I noticed WB4MAK's SDR site(wb4mak.com), I've been listening to Mack's and other WebSDRs from around the world. What a COOL technology! I am having one problem, however. I can receive Mack's SDR on all my computers except the one I use in my shack. And what is strange, I can receive ALL the other SDRs in the world using the same format (
www.wedsdr.org) on that computer! And, while not receiving the SDR content from Mack's site, I can still access the "Chatbox" and enter text.
Usually problem of this sort result from Java, either an obsolete iteration or a disabled install. But mine is up to date (just upgraded to 22 yesterday) - and all the other WebSDRs work...This happens with either IE or Firefox. I have checked and temporarily disabled the firewall - no change.
Maybe hardware? I am wondering whether I should replace the sound card. But it suffices for everything else - including the other WebSDRs...Any ideas, before I take the machine apart? I know, get another computer...
