Lake Whitney Island - IOTA TX031L ....RARE IOTA!!!

The members of both the Lake Whitney Amateur Radio Society and the Johnson County Amateur Radio Club will be activating "THE ISLAND" on Lake Whitney, in Texas, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM CST, on Saturday October 27th, 2001. The island has received the designator of TX031L, and sits at 97.23 longitude and 31.53 latitude. The club call of NZ5T will be used on or around 28.435, 21.290, and 14.250 Mhz. The island has NEVER BEEN ACTIVATED, and qsl's will be available via the LWARS address at PO Box 1181, Whitney, TX 76692. Operations contact will be Allen Newton KT5A.
