So I've been looking around for a mobile radio capable of VHF narrowband commercial frequencies, and stumbled on www.blackboxradios.com

I haven't been able to find any reviews on the internet.  I read through the online manual, and through PC programming the radio can be set to "amateur" or "commercial" (i.e., VFO function turned on/off).  Unique idea, if I do say so myself...

I was wondering if anybody had any input about the radio or manufacturer?  The manual makes it pretty clear this thing is being produced overseas because of the Engrish throughout it, but then again, most of the radios I own are made overseas...

Input/observations/opinions appreciated.

I looked and couldn't find any FCC type acceptance info. Might do to call them and ask for it before assuming it's type accepted for commercial use...

I found an FCC certification in their manual:

(FCC logo followed by): CE0678

Kinda looks like privately labeled stuff from other manufacturers.
