Have two Knwd TS-50's...have run both mobile at times, and with great results. Currently using one as  second station at home. Want to monitor hf air freq's, military, utility...all which run USB. The ts50 does the sideband automatically  when you go to a ham band. Anyone know how  to do this thru a menu or something similar. All help appreciated...Tnx for reading...73 de Jerry W7TNS

I vaguely remember a mod to do that. You might try here: http://www.mods.dk/

hi Jerry,

Select Menu 04 and select "ULc".
That will make it so that you can change
LSB and USB no matter where you are.
If you save it to the memory, it will save the USB or LSB you specify.
