I've found a few "monitor PSK31" apps for the iPad, but is there a fully functional receive/transmit iPad app for PSK31?

I found this ...

With the Camera Connection Kit, you can plug a USB sound input device into the iPad,

That was on http://www.blackcatsystems.com/ipad/iPad_PSK31_Pad_FAQ.html

Yes.. that does work, but one could just as easily use a properly designed audio cable from the 4 connector jack on the iPad.. the problem's not the audio interface, but is there any software that implements both sending and receiving.

There is a psk app for the iphone that you can run on the pad that does send and receive.

You can run just about any Amateur Radio program on the iPad and use it as a touch screen controller using an app on it such as Air Display, VNC client, or a Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) client. These programs send video from your main computer to the iPad. They will also pass touch commands from the iPad to allow you to press buttons, drag sliders, and enter text into the program you are running. These programs will allow you to use your iPad to control most amateur radio programs remotely over your wireless network. So you could indeed run your favorite PSK31 program from your iPad, but it does require the software to be running on your main computer.

Hello, I am considering an Ipad or Ipod touch for portable ops on PSK31 with my FT-817. My question is HOW and what do I use to interface?? Not terribly handy making custom cables. What can I use to interface either one of these to my 817.

Also will this Handle the PTT function? I have been searching the internet and fine plenty of programs for PSK on the Ipad/Ipod but not much information on interfacing.

Thanks for the help.
