I`m considering putting my Cobra 2000GTL up for sale to help make money to purchase an HF rig.
Couple questions....
Will I get scoffed at on this site for selling an 11 meter radio here?
Do I need a certain number amount of posts to put an ad up here?

Thanks

Larry,

other Cobra radios have been listed at eham. Some might scoff at you. Scoff back.

You do not need to have posted at eham to list an item in the classified section.

Courageous question!
Having read that other such equipment has been prosted for sale, go for it.
FWIW, the mere fact that you are selling the CB radio in order to purchase an HF rig means that you are headed in the right direction.

Go for it--but don't expect too much of a reply from here.  You may be better to list it on E-Bay right now, since they're allowing free postings for the first half of December.  Either that or Craig's list.  You may find that either of those two places will get you a better responce for a CB rig than e-Ham will.

I would take the radio to the Walcott I-80 Truck Stop.  Someone passing thru there would pay top dollar I am sure.  I still have yet to understand why CBer's pay upwards of hundreds of dollars for 4 watt transmitters...

I am only a 20 minute drive to the truck stop.
They would consign it for me? Or just have the cb shop pass the word by mouth?
