CQWW RTTY SO2R Question

Hello All:

I plan on trying SO2R for the CQWW RTTY Contest this September. Here are my questions regarding my classification.


1.   Since I am using two transceivers would I still be eligible for Single Operator Assisted classification?

2.   If I am running on 20 Meters and search/pouncing on 40 meters am I violating any band change rules? It is my thought as long as only one transmitter is on the air at one time I should not have a problem, but the rules are so unclear regarding this I am not sure.

In most contests, single op is single op.  Whether you run SO1R or SO2R, you are still single op  (I think someday this needs to change, given the difference in scores between 1R and 2R stations, but right now it is true)

You are correct om.  As long as you are not actually keying two radios at the same time then you can claim Single Op.

Unfortuantely some operators use two computers and transmit both at the same time and still claim Single Op; this is cheating.
