If anyone would like to participate in project hosted by University of the Aegean from Greece, please visit www.marinetraffic.com/ais/  and watch live ships movements received by users around the world.Lot of hams are involved in this AIS monitoring using dedicated AIS receivers or VHF radios. AIS signals can be heard on 161.975 and 162.025 MHz. So, if you live on coast, island or busy river than you are at right place.You can find users sharing to the other similar web pages like www.digital-seas.com etc.Everything about is can be found at theirs newsgroup at
