The link above has me confused.  Do all Canadian provinces count as a unique multiplier, or do VE2 thu VE7 count as only one single multiplier as a group?

Read the paragraph complete & you'll see the contradiction in the rule text.  I'm just back to ham after 10yrs of no suitable QTH so forgive my lack of knowledge here.

Thanks much for any info.........73

The eight Canadian multipliers are Maritime (VE1, VE9, VO1, VO2 and VY2), VE2 through VE7, and Yukon-NWT (VYØ, VY1 and VE8).

The eight Canadian mults are:

Maritime which consists of VE1, VE9, VO1, VO2, VY2
Quebec
Ontario
Manitoba
Saskatchewan
Alberta
British Columbia
Yukon-NWT which consists of VY0, VY1, VE8

It's never been clear why all the maritime provinces, and Yukon/NWT for that matter, are lumped together but that's a discussion for another day.  Hope to see you in the sprints!

Well I can't say about the Maritime provinces but as far as the Yukon/NWT goes, it's a matter of population.  They have very few people up there and thus there are very few hams up there.  Typically, I see only ONE person on the air for the whole section in any given contest.
