A smoking section in a restaurant makes as much sense as a peeing section in a swimming pool.

It's disturbing that the FCC is letting this go on for so long. I think someone is trying to make a career out of this loon.

They have given him enough rope to hang himself from the moon if they wanted to.....  They keep going this slow and HAM will become the chicken band of the 21st century.

Who cares as long as the Moron is off the air and fined for all his illegal activity. Jail time would be good.

I have to wonder just how "serious" the Feds are with him and this long standing issue...

Seriously, I doubt anything will change anytime soon, unless he passes away...

Sad it takes that to resolve an issue...

GL and keep hoping...

I heard that it's waiting for the outcome of the court case which is due, I think, in September.

The question is "What year?"

Supposedly this year - but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The FCC has long been de-funded for serious enforcement of these types of things. They do very little "leg work" these days.

To the uneducated, (me), it seems as if more strict enforcement could pay for itself.

I used to think that, too. But "the system" doesn't work that way. At least not at the Federal level.

If FCC enforcement actions result in payment of a fine, confiscation of property, etc., the FCC doesn't get the money. Same for spectrum auctions and the like. It all goes into the general fund.

I suspect that most Federal agencies work that way.

There's a very good reason for that rule: it removes the incentive for agencies to fund themselves by creating lots of detailed rules and enforcement actions.

I think we need more enforcement of Part 97. But it should be funded by Congress.

Like that is going to happen these days. They should let them keep most of the fines  to pay their own way. They would have more reason to "hit the bricks" and look for violators

And what's up with this clowns tedious web site and all those cheesy moving gifs? It looks like something a ten year old slapped together.
