 For the second straight year, members of the Southeast Louisiana Amateur Radio Club (SELARC), will be operating the special event station, K5R. Club members will be marking the second anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita striking the Gulf Coast states in 2005.
 Operations will commence on Saturday, September 15, 2007. Contacts can be made on 14.250 and 7.250 mHz (+/- QRM) from 1400-2000 UTC.  Locals are also encouraged to make contact on the club's 2 meter repeater on 147.000 (- no PL).
 A commemorative certificate will be available by mailing a 9"x12" SASE to the following address:
