My wife and I are wanting to go on a mini DX trip to the Carribean this winter. I would like to stay at Hotel,Guest House or rental place on or close to the beach. The key is I would like to stay as cheap as possible. Not after first class accomadations or something fancy. Just a basic, clean, place with a balcony or yard to set up a verticle to operate HF for 3 days to a week.
I hear a lot of guys DXing in the winter months and they seem to be having a ball on the radio while their XYL's are enjoying the sun and the beach.
If you have done this, are have any suggestions please let me know.
Best 73  to all,

www.dxholiday.com is a good place to start.  Many places will allow low key/low profile antennas with minimal fuss.  Best is to contact prospective hotels and villa owners directly (most have email these days) with a short explanation of your intentions.
