I just purchased a Kenwood TS-940 and I'm trying to key a Collins 30l-1 using an Ameritron ARB-704. The relay works just fine on my Kenwood TS-520. I've changed the jumper settings in the 704 to all possibilities with no luck.

With the DIN plugged in I can hear a relay click in when the 940 is transmitting. Without it plugged in there is no relay click.

I felt RL1 and RL2 while transmitting and don't feel any "click" on those when the transmitting.  I read on a posting that RL1 or RL2 has something to do with the remote switch.

Any help would be appreciated.

You don't need the ARB. Make up a din plug with Pin 2 to the center of the phono plug and ground to ground.
The shield must be on the din plug to activate the switch that turns on the relay.
