Don, et all --

DON'T THROW out the old ones!

I have restored many of these earlier Switchcraft RCA panel mount jacks, with broken ceramic inserts.
You can use properly sized Teflon, Nylon or Ceramic spacers (after you bend back metal tabs holding the insert in body).

Nylon and Teflon spacers or standoffs can be cut to size,
while the Ceramic have to be the standoffs or spacers or proper length and ID hole size.
I have also foudn that you can remove ceramic inserts from other more common
Switchcraft RCA jacks (still in production) -- they are the same size !

As long as a metal is CLEAN -- it can be cleaned or even re-tinned/plated.
The inserts are normally the specific area of part that requires attention.

This ALSO works with the multi-port RCA jack field on the back of R-4x series receivers !
A bit of patience can restore a part to like "new" that is no longer mfg. or in production !
