I am using an old "Coffin Key" bug from the 1960's.  I got it out of storage recently to give it a try.  Just wondering if anyone out there is still using one or has every tried to use one.

Yes I have one that I picked up on eBay a few years ago.  The lid was yellowed and cracked (often the case)
but I managed to get a replacement cover from Morse Express. These bugs have a pretty decent feel, somewhat
crisp, but a bit clacky with the lid in place.  Mine gets used on occasion (too many keys ;-) ). BTW the square weights
from the Vibroplex Lightning / Champion / Zephyr will fit if you need to add more weight, you just may need to
temporarily remove the pendulum to get the Vibroplex weights on.

Yes, it needs to be tamed down a bit.  I got hold of some lead disks, about the size of a nickle, and glued  one to the top side of the the original weight.  That slowed it down to about 15 wpm. Tnx for the tip on the vibro weight, that would be much cleaner.  I don't know what brand mine is...it isn't marked.  But apparently they all are the same but were sold under different brand names, Lafayette and Skillman are 2 that come to mind.
