OK! What happened to the Sec Def Armed Forces Day Broadcast??
It is NOT mentioned anywhere in the Crossband info. I went back to 2010 to verify it there. I hope Ft Huachuca does a better job this year in getting QSL cards and SecDef Certificates to those OPs. I sent in my info twice and nothing! Zip! Same with the SecDef Broadcast. Zip!
I got better responses from Airforce and Navy. Navy use to be a real Pain in the ass to work with back in the 90's.
This is from 2010:
"QSL cards will be provided to those stations making contact with the military stations. Special commemorative certificates will be awarded to anyone who receives and copies the digital Armed Forces Day message from the Secretary of Defense."
I have had a few new Amateur ask me how do they get a card.
Does the Military Station look them up on QRZ or do they need to send a QSL Card to them. Lot of new Amateurs out here who have never done this before, so it would be nice who ever is writing up the Broadcast info include those instructions on making contacts and copying the SecDef broadcast.
So what happened?
