I used to own a AL-82 with 3-500Zs and had to replace the tubes twice due to arcing issues. The last pair of Chinese tubes turned out to be reliable. I sold the amp and picked up a ALS-600 on the cheap and about the only person to notice the difference between 600 watts and 1500 watts was me.
