I bought one of these radio's for a song today, I don't know a whole lot about it. I need the programing box I may have to build one. I found a manual on line the Programmer may be hard to come by. I found a schematic I'm  just wonder how I might build on if I have to.

If you've got the schematic, what specifically are you wondering about?

Well I'm not the most electronically gifted person. I would need a key pad with a function button I' m not sure if they sell a ready made one or if there is software and a cable from a newer radio that might work with some mild modifications.

That helps thanks. Any idea where I would get a keypad to replicate that.

Not at the moment, but I am sure that somebody will come up with a source of supply located on your side of "the pond".
