Cursed cursor?

Greetings all! The cursor button on my Toshiba SatellitePro laptop now only moves sideways and won't move up and down. By plugging in a mouse, the cursor works fine. Any body had this problem? Any suggestions?

If you are referring to your mouse pointer and your track pad, I'd suggest getting the latest device drivers for the track pad from Toshiba and installing them. If that doesn't fix it I'd suspect a hardware fault in the track pad.

Update:
Some one suggested holding down Fn+F9 keys while re-booting..it worked for a short time and now same symptoms...will be trying it again...
