I don't see any difference between ordering something over a website and having it shipped, vs making a phone call and having it shipped.

I purchased a couple of genuine Motorola NMO 2 meter kits through ebay, from Precison Communications out of Kentucky.  They seemed to be a good deal, included was the mount, coax, PL259, and antenna for less than $20.00 plus shipping.

I could not find a better deal anywhere.

I would not ever recommend a stud mount for VHF or UHF.  I tend to use what is recommended by Motorola, who certainly has the R & D  and years of expertise to back up what they recommend.

Mike and Terry, thanks for those links -- I have never heard of either of those two companies.  I'll check out the local one and see what they have.
