Recently purchased a 500Hz CW filter for my FT-77.  Purchased the rig used, so I have no manual.  It's been a great performer here in the shack as a backup, but since I stay on the lower end of the bands, I really needed to be able to zero in on signals and get rid of some of the QRM.

I figured the filter installation was as simple as dropping in the 4-pole unit, four quick solder points, and I'd be done...but I tried that without success.

The rig still works as normal with a wide reception, but when I switch to the narrow filter, I get no change.

Am I overlooking something obvious?  If anyone's familiar with this rig and has any answers or suggestions, please let me know.  Thanks in advance!
