This post is to let other Ham Operators know about a company called RadioWavz. I ordered a 10-80 meter Off Center Dipole from them. When the antenna arrived I installed it at about 35 foot using a Fiberglass pole as a center mount. I used RG 8x as a feed line as the run was only about 25 ft..
I connected the feed line to an MFJ tuner and fired up my Kenwood TS 570. When I keyed the transmitter my SWR meter showed a dead short. I rechecked all my connections and my SWR was still off the scale on all the bands. I changed the feed line to RG 8 still nothing.
I sent an e-mail to Mark at RadioWavz and we tried to troubleshoot the problem with no results. He told me to send the antenna back and he would send me another one, which I did. I waited a few weeks and no antenna came. So I sent him another e-mail on June 29, 2011, he sent me an e-mail almost at once. He said he would handle the problem himself. He sent me a tracking number on Thursday June 30 2011. On Saturday morning July 1, 2011 the door bell rang and Fed Ex handed me a new antenna and a 1:1 Balun which Mark included as a extra for the wait I went through.
When I need anything in the future along the wire antenna line I will be sure to send my order to RadioWavz. I cannot say enough about the service I received from Mark. I have not reinstalled the new antenna yet, but I will let everybody know the results.
