Hi, I need to run a copy of the ICOM's memory management software of the IC-V8000 VHF radio under Windows 7. I know that this release of the software is compatible with windows XP but what about Windows 7? I have tried change properties as compatible with Windows XP but either way it doesn't run I got the message:

Check the following:
The RS232C port settings;
Cloning cable connections;
Appropriate cloning software for the transceiver is being used;

Sort of a general problem with programs not specifically designed for Windows 7 is that you might need to right-click on it instead of left-click on the start menu, then click "Run as Administrator." This should give you full rights to the serial ports, etc., if that's the only problem.
