Ever do a WTB ad and get sh*t for replies.

Ask for a 'specific' (cable) application.
Get replies like...   i have one get back to me asap.  have what your looking for.  etc.
No info, no cost, no nothing, not even a complete sentence, and some from Europe yet.
One replied to me after I asked if he would care to share the cost. Reply was $279.50.
I replied it was only a $30 cable from the mfger and he argued with me yet that that source was a scam.
Can you believe the sh*t people will try to give you?
If you do a WTB add never respond to that type or reply.
I took the ad off and will buy from the mfger as I already have one and need another. $30 won't break the bank. It's just hard to get the phone answered by human at the other end to place the order but will keep trying.

A few years ago I placed a "WTB" ad on a well-known website with local classified ads; I got a BUNCH of would-be scammers, including several that said:

"I want to purchase your 'WTB Les Paul DC' please give me your final price and I will send a money order ..."

ROFL!   (I never got back to any of those people because I got busy with this nice Nigerian bank director who wants to give me a lot of money ...)   ;-)

Yeah,  I know what you mean.  Mine was this nice Christian lady dying of cancer who wants to give me ten percent of her fortune for distributing the other 90 percent to charity!  LOL.

Added:  Seriously, though, sometimes you have to spell out 'Wanted: To Buy' instead of just listing WTB.  Some people just aren't aware of the quicky communicating abbreviations.

   Don't feel bad.  I once placed an add looking for Hooker headers for a car, and I got a reply from a call girl!
