The NJ QSO Party no longer has a sponsor. My club is thinking about picking up the responsibility for the contest. We want to keep the contest going but we are not a big club and don't want to be overwhelmed. We are looking for input about the amount of effort required and the expense. We are also looking for any software that might automate the process of receiving, validating and scoring. Any input would be appreciated.

Bob,

The Rochester DX Association has been doing a great job since reviving the New York QSO Party in 2009:

Bob,

I won the contest last year, but it was because of lack of contestants. I won with a putrid 147 contacts. And I was supposed to get some kind of plaque. Believe me, I really could do without because I feel like it was undeserved.

Anyway, one problem was that they had it on the same night as the CQNA. That won't work. I think it lacks advertisement. You need to get a club mailing list and email all clubs in NJ.
