Winning bid was $1180.00! Plus $100.00 shipping. After looking at the pictures of his construction I now know what I'm going to do with my homebrew amplifier!! Daymn!!

A look at the tank circuit will clue you in on where this "Mobile" will be used. Don't think you would be welcome in your home neighborhood.

I am willing to bet this thing shows up on 27 MHz if the person ever gets it running.

I was thinking the same thing. A lack of any sort of filtering makes me think that the folks who would use this amplifier would probably care less about how much splatter was created.

And the $900 does NOT include shipping. Kind of reminds me of the old story about a business executive that stopped at the roadside lemonade stand and asked how much for a glass of lemonade. Kid told him 1 million dollars. The executive said "you're not going to sell many of those at that price" to which the kid answered "I only have to sell one"!!! Gene W5DQ

Come on Guys.Don't you remember what that was used for. ET used it when he phoned home. They had a solar flare at that time and needed a special box.

hi
We should start a pool on the final bid price and as have a multiplier if Radio-Mart buys it.
73 james E-Bay now shows the auction has ended, and that there were no bids. Imagine that.

I honestly would not take it even if someone was giving it to me for free. I would have to do so much work to make it into a decent amp, coupled with the fact that in the end it's not even close to the external design I would want. Better to start from scratch with what I would like in my shack. Ultimately this blue box would just end up being another piece of junk in storage, something I can do without.
