I have a question i have carolina windom about 40 ft with 1.1 baun ,i just brought coax from huntsville ala. hamfest last month ! the question is does it matter where you put RF choke top or bottom.

I don't know if is dumb question or good question ? i did do 6' choke about 10 turns if remember right !

I had to replace the old coax since someone forgot to seal the coax since i was sick that day  Cry

A choke at the feed point isolates the feed line from the antenna - Is this one of those "both horizontal & vertical" antennas? If so the choke should be at the bottom of the vertical section - if not it should be at the feed.
