Hi, I'm  a Life Scout and the Senior Patrol Leader for Troop 123 out of Doylestown, Ohio. Are there any other troops around here planning on setting up a JOTA station?

Thanks,

Go to this URL: http://www.arrl.org/find-a-club and enter Akron, OH.  It will give you contact information for two area amateur radio clubs.  Someone at those clubs should know if there are any JOTA operations in your area.
