It seems that MicroSoft plans to sell/deliver Win8 for installs via Internet. Using compression they have reduce size of install files from 2.32 gig to 1.51 gig currently. This could mean that to install it on a new system you might need Internet access. They could just ship a basic install disc that installs a boot loader and shell to access Internet and download and instal Win8. This would provide more piracy protection and it would allow MS to frequently update install files. Not to mention reduce production and distribution costs too. Looks like a good reason to hang on to those Vista and Win7 install CD's
