OK, next problem, where is the Lithium Battery in the 950?  Does it look like the standard 2032?  Removed the top, bottom, front panel and opened the CPU box, don't see it.  Thanks, Jim, k4vw

Hey Guys, fixed the no power ON for the FT-950.  SMD Doides 5904 and 5905 were open.  They are located on the PA-A unit just beond the DC power connector.  Replaced with 1N914 diodes.  And by the way, there is no CMOS, battery in the FT-950.  Thank you Bill for the help.  Jim, k4vw  Smiley

Sure thing , glad I could be of service. On a note , sometime when you can , replace them with 1N4001 Diodes , it will last forever. The 1N914 will work , but current is pretty limited on them and they may fault. 1N4001 diodes (Radio Shack) will work forever.

What I have been doing in all the 950's coming in is removing C-5419 , adding a larger axial lead capacitor and attaching one end of the diodes to the same ground pad as the capacitor , works great. Then I add a drop of hot glue to the diodes to make sure they stay put.

Wouldn't you know it.

Got my new 950 online last Wednesday. Just sitting listening for about an hour. Main grid power out to the area for about
an hour and a half. Haven't had a power outage in PHX for eons.

Anyway, nothing bad apparently happened to the radio. Worked the 10M event no problems.

I do miss my AH-4 though.  Grin

FYI. Radio is 1H59xxxx, 20.471.15.  Pretty well up to date out of the box.
