1950's HAM World Globe

Hi,
Just to be up front, I'm a buyer and seller.  I was also raised in a HAM Radio/MARS Net house. My upbringing peaked my interest in an item I recently acquired.  I've not found another example so I'm turning to this group to see if I can get any information that might be helpful.  I like to create accurate, honest listings.

What I have is a 1958-1959 world globe that has what I've believe are Amature Radio Call Signs for countries around the world at the time.  In the opinion of the members here who collect is this an item of high interest, no interest or somewhere in between?  IMHO it's a nice globe and a cool piece of history, but I've been wrong before.

Well, I might be wrong ( I often am), but based on the last picture in your post, it looks like someone made their own call sign globe, using transferable letters.  If you look at the letters added over the green background, you can see the white decal base material from the letters that were applied.

They did a nice job, and I'm sure it served their need, but it doesn't look like a "store bought item" to me.

And if it is for real, putting a price on it would be almost impossible.  Whatever a "collector" is willing to spend is what it's worth, same as any other collectable item.

Should be possible to validate as the globe does have a makers ID and info, so you could try to validate it that way (if they are still in business).

Interesting observation.  Could be why it's been hard to find another example. I'll have to delve a little further.
