My father has recently become interested in Ham Radio once again, and we're trying to figure out exactly what year he received his licence (WB2EGR). It must have been somewhere between the late 50s to mid 60s. What would be the best place to go to find out this information?
Thanks,
NV1P
Recommend you pop over to VANITYHQ.COM and post the same request. There are a few guys over there that have vast libraries of call books that go way back and they can look up old calls for you. I used them as a starting point to research my legacy 1x2 call (W5DQ) passed down to me (via the vanity call process) after my dad passed over the log back in 2008. I traced my call back to 1925 with 3 previous (to me) holder of the call.
Good Luck in your searching,
Gene W5DQ
