Excluding Dayton, what are your favorite hamfests in Ohio: ? I have a hard time thinking of one.

You have to go to Findlay in September to enjoy the best late summer Hamfest. Cambridge is a fine get together in August..n8aft

Findlay and Mansfield are good shows. The November Georgetown show is an up and coming one. Totally inside, growing attendance, free seller tables, great doorprizes-all for a $2 admission ticket!

You mean the GCARA Hamfest at Diamond Oaks? It's horrible! I remember the old hamfests at Stricker's Grove. That's when the GCARA had a great hamfest. Now hardly anyone shows up. Very small fleamarket. No large ham radio vendors - not even R&L who is right in the area. Seems no one at GCARA even cares about it. They are just going through the motions.

Findlay, Mansfield, and Warren have traditionally been the good Ohio hamfests aside from Dayton. I only go to Dayton now and it's been a few years since I went to the others since I don't live there anymore. Another good nearby hamfest is Fort Wayne, IN.

oh I miss Stricker's Grove, that was a classic hamfest.
Findlay is great, pretty large, nice gathering of folks, usually find some good deals. fun drive to get there if you take State Routes. I guess the Lima hamfest is done now. it's really not worth it to go to any other hamfests around here I have found. sad...
only other one in the area that I hit anymore is Fort Wayne, in Indiana.
has anybody ever gone to the Athens hamfest? I may hit that in 2012.

Never been to Athen or Nelsonville's hamfests. I think they are two separate Fests. Anyone been there? Thoughts/comments?

Nelsonville Hamfest is coming up on January 15th , it's a nice smaller hamfest well attended for a local hamfest. I think Athens is in April but not sure of the date. Both hamfests are in nice buildings and easily Wheel chair accessable. Athens has a paved flea market space (free) and some of it is actually covered with elevated solar panels. Nelsonville parking is also paved but the Wx is usually as such that you would want to be inside. Nelsonville comes at a nice time to get out of the house for those with "cabin fever". Anyone wanting to attend Nelsonville and get a table should email KC8QDQ , Duncan10847@embarqmail.com for reservations. License testing is also offered with signup at 11:30 AM and testing starting at 12 noon. Not sure who to contact for Athens but that info will appear in QST.
