Some questions with regard to a Yaesu 857D....Does anyone know or think it's worth it to modify a Yaesu 857D for the new 60 meter channel?  AND if so, how does one go about doing it?.....Also, as I haven't had time to check, in a Yaesu 857D, can you actually transmit CW, etc. on the 60 meter channels, or does a modification need to be done with that too?....What say you?

If you do the MARS mod, you will have to program the dial frequency of each 60M "channel" into a memory. Also you will be able to TX all modes and have power output up to 100W. The MARS mod is not for the faint of heart. Sure it is only jumpering a couple of solder pads, but they are about the size of a gnat's eyeball.
