I have one and really like it. I've had it up for 8-9 months at about 25 ft at the center and around 8-10 feet on each end. I have the 230 ft version and have no problems tuning all HF bands. When I first put it up and got on the air I thought I might have a connector problem because it was so quite. I checked, and rechecked, and everything was fine. I called the CCD number and asked about what I thought was a problem with it being so quite. Was told that's what they do and the little boards are a part of it being a quite antenna.

I intend to get another 230 ft CCD. The one I have now is running North/South and I will put the other one East/West. I realize the current one is more NVIS but will attach each to my new tower when it arrives next Spring.

I would encourage you to call the CCD phone number and talk with them. You have more than likely been to their website to read about the different versions. (?) Nice folks.

Here is W4RNL's analysis of the CCD antenna:

The CCD is  a flawed design. No better than an equivalent center fed antenna without  all of the nonsense. I  believe Cebik came to the same conclusion., although I have not read that article in several years.
