mic recommendations for Icom 735

Anyone have a mic recommendation for this HF?  Rather hard to find these days.

I can't recommend a specific brand or model, but the manual calls for a 600 ohm electret condensor mic.

I'd think about getting a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer as a mic preamp -- then, you could use any dynamic mic (including Heil's).

According to Icom, the HM12, HM14, HM36, SM6, SM8, and the SM20 are all compatible.

The stock microphone for IC-735 is very bassy and not punchy. I would try something with the Heil HC-5 element.

You can check with Bob Heil, but, I have had a very nice experiences with the ICM series (see link). I also LOVE the GM gold line dual element. I'm not sure if its computable out of the box.
