Man oh man, you wouldn't believe the time I have trying to find some of the parts and materials for various ham and non-ham projects I work on.

Like the ceramic standoffs, or reasonably priced aluminum tubing for homebrew antennas. I search, and the only suppliers I find are either overpriced local outfits, or China-based trading companies that want to sell me ten thousand on some widget I'm looking for. Not exactly economical.

Someone needs to create a logistical search site and name it wherecanibuy.com... "if we can't find it for you, it hasn't been invented yet". Whoever creates that site will be the next internet billionaire.

aluminum   how about  ace hardware,   or  lowes or   'the orange box'

there already  is a  'web site' to do this..

its called   CQ   or QST...      don't  read the articles...

  READ THE  ADS..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
